Check and re-check

So, I have become a lazy 'blogger', oops my bad. Anyways, last Monday Rooster had another appointment with the Craniofacial surgeon. This was the appointment I was slightly dreading because at our last appointment she said she might put Rooster in a helmet. Well, she didn't! She said everything looks fantastic and she is doing so well. She said the scar is at its 'ugliest' phase right now and to just keep massaging it and it will look better in no time. The next time we see her will be in October around the 6 month mark and it will be with the Craniofacial team-which consist of the Craniofacial dr, the neurosurgeon, a hearing doctor, a speech doctor and a Psychologist.

On Wednesday we meet with our new Pediatrician, I decided since we are staying in Florida I mind as well take her to a doctor that I am going to enjoy taking her too. I am so glad I switched her because her new doctor is fantastic! He was so nice and friendly, so it wasn't dreaded. She is caught up on her shots, has a clean bill of health and we have her '8' month stats.

She is 27 inches tall which puts her in the 28th percentile
She weighs 15.02 pounds which puts her in the 13th percentile
Her head is 42cm round which puts her in the 26th percentile

Everything is great, she is on the thin side, but the Dr. said that is fine as long as long as she continues to gain weight, if I feel like she isn't getting bigger or is staying the same I need to take her back in. We won't see him again until October as well for her 1 year appointment!

1 year appointment???!!! Where did my baby go? I really need to start thinking of what we are going to do for her birthday party! I am pretty sure I know where we are going to have it and when, but no idea on decor or anything like that.

Oh! My news is I am patiently waiting to hear back about a job I interviewed for on Tuesday! I am really excited and nervous, this would be a great job for me. Fingers crossed for good news. Joe is deployed again, but this time I see it as a good thing because now that he is gone it is only a short while before he is here with us again and this time for good!!

Oh last thing before I forget!! Rooster said "mama" last night!!! Of course I was nowhere around and it was with the babysitter, but I am still excited she finally said it!! Woohooo! :)

Okay that is all, go about your regularly scheduled program for the day!

:)
