Can you believe it has been almost 2 weeks since Roosters surgery? Me either! Time really is flying by, and that isn't always a good thing. I thought after her surgery she would be laid up and miserable for a while, but that is totally not the case with her.
We got to come home Sunday and that night her eyes started opening back up, and by Wednesday she could see out of both eyes. She is the same 'ol Rooster as ever, she hasn't slowed down one step do to the surgery and it is so great. She is looking fantastic and every day it amazes me at how great she is doing and how great she looks.
I can definitely tell a difference in her face as well, her forehead is more rounded and her eyes aren't as sunken in as much as they once were. She is going to be even more beautiful than she was before the surgery.
Yesterday(Monday) she got her stitches snipped by her Craniofacial surgeon, she said that her body will push them out and that as she gets a bath they will fall out as well. Her scar looks fantastic!!! It is so small and they did a great job with it. Her hair is already growing back, and fast! I can't wait for it to start getting long!
Her reflux has been acting up lately, and the surgeon said that could be because of the hormone shift after surgery or from the breathing tube during surgery irritating her.
We can't thank everyone enough for the prayers and good vibes! Our journey is just beginning in the road to recovery, but with the way time has been flying by, I am sure her 1 year noggin day will be here before we know it.
