Post Surgery updates

Updating in the hospital was to crazy, so sorry for the lack of details, but I tried to keep my Facebook updated as much as I could. My poor phone was in overdrive this past week with the out pour of love from everyone.

The swelling never got as bad as anyone thought it would, actually yesterday was suppose to be the worst day, yet it was her best looking day! The bruising was dark, but it was healing great! She started acting like her normal self on Friday and thankfully we got to leave the ICU on Friday afternoon and move to a regular room. By Saturday she was back to sitting up and talking and playing, it was great to see her back to her happy self, Saturday night was bad, because she had some bad gas so it was a rough night for all of us. It was worth it though because today we got to come HOME!

It has been nice being back home and it was so cute to see the balloons and signs all the neighbors made for her. It was topped off because she has started opening her left eye enough to see just a tiny bit! One neighbor brought over dinner for us and it was so good. She got a bath to clean her up and she was playing and moving all around.

I am so glad the surgery is behind us, and now we have nothing but moving forward to do. I am looking forward to watching her to continue to grow, learn and play. The neurosurgeon told us it would take about 3 weeks for the swelling to completely go down, but with the way she has been going maybe she will keep surprising us. I am already thinking of her 9 month photo op moments!

Thank you to everyone for all the thoughts, prayers, and gifts that you have showered my family with. I couldn't ask to have better people in my life, you are all truly amazing and God has blessed me with more than I could ever ask for.
